Goals

You did a great job of putting preliminary goals together.  Let's see if we can refine them to make them work for us. Here's a work shop on goals.  Link

11/1 Chapter 8, "Analyzing and Reporting Results"
11/6 Study the following list of issues:   Link
  • The web inventory we did might be a good first step toward creating a site map for ORS to use.  I talked to Sarah about that today.  So look up “site map”, figure out what one is, and think of categories to use for ours.
  • The heuristic evaluation is going to be a big portion of our final report.  Please study this list of issues (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/10/09/30-usability-issues-to-be-aware-of/ in usability and be ready to wail on them in class on Tuesday.  We will have a quiz over them.
  • You have done a good job of coming together as a class to produce the test plan.  Please think about 1) what processes, technologies, protocols we used in this phase, and 2) how we might want to change these during the next phase (reporting of results).  I’ll be bringing this up on Tuesday. Let's try to think of ways we can change our methods so that a good job is easier to do.

11/8
11/13
11/15 Set up the team for the poster session.  Here is good information on how to do a poster:

Discussion question:  What might be useful categories of entries for your portfolios?

11/20 Would contain results from the heuristic evaluation and the site map analysis of content.  Testing data reviewed.
